Ahhh, Monday, the day has come and gone and it'll be time for me to lay it down in a minute. Work was long, I was irratated, I rushed home as soon as I could. As I attempted to help Farrah with her homework, Gabby kept being a total brat begging for help with her homework and some attention. Then she started to act out and interrupt us...It's rare for her to act like a monster. I don't know whats up with her...

So to keep the sliver of sanity I have left, I created this page, gave Gabby some crayons and assisted her with her homework and tried to keep calm.

Farrah loves to take self portraits...I can't ever take them of myself this well, especially in 1 shot! How does she do it???

The base paper is Basic Gray Shine On from Joann's. It was already distressed so I didn't do much to it. I used pieces from American Crafts Soho Garden and made the butterflies with Paper Shapers Medium Butterfly. The "C" is Making Memories Jigsaw chipboard and I made the punched frame using Basic Gray Whats Up and EK Heart Frame punch. Very simple and quick to assemble. Thanks for looking.

Black Friday?

No black Friday for me, I had to work today. In fact, I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet and I don't plan on buying alot either. Nor do I plan to spend times in long lines...I don't get the holiday shopping hysteria, I have a short fuse and low patience. I don't want to turn into the "bridezilla of Christmas" and lose the bit of mind I have left.... Yesterday went pretty smoothly, I ate but I couldn't taste a thing and I was very irritable. I spent the night tossing and turning from one end of my couch to the other. Yes I sleep on the couch, I have a nice comfy bed but I still love my couch. I coughed, I was stuffy and I was hot! Glad the kids were away. On a lighter note, I realized that I like old school Christmas music. I love the oldies station we have here. Even if it weren't Christmas music I still would listen. I'm 33 and I love old music...I mean older than myself. I'm talking my mother's age and she's in her early 60's. I don't know where it came from...Okay so now that my rant is over, lets get to the business...

I was able to complete this layout fairly quickly tonight. It just looks so plain to me, it feels like it is missing something. No misting or alot of layering or embellishments.

A few months ago my job hosted "take your kids to work day" and Farrah was so happy to go. They ate pizza and played games. The base ppr is called "Timeless" by Recollections (Michaels brand). I used scraps of Pretty Party (Crate Paper) to make the photo mat, the pieces left over from banners were made from BG Soleil. The journal spot is MME Honey and the die cut flowers are BG Soleil.

Seriously Gabby?

First off, I have no idea where she gets that smile or the pose from.Well my guess its part of her personality and the children shes around everyday. She knows how to turn it on for the camera... For the large circles, I punched a few sheets from Basic Grey Lucille, distressed the edges and ran them through my Cuttlebug and adhered them. I used scraps of MME Honey, BG Fact/Fiction and SEI Vanilla Sunshine to make the paper strips. I used WRMK Winter Frost stamps and Doodlebug Ink in Pool to stamp the banner, I should have used a foam pad to make it come out even. I misted with Mint Julep (Studio Calico).

Let me start off by saying Happy Thanksgiving, hope you guys have a blessed one. I'm just thankful we have another day on this earth.  My kids and I are sick and I can't taste a thing right now. I've been coughing all night and Gabby had a high fever. Farrah stayed with my aunt so it was just Gabby and I last night. Right now Gabby is intrigued by my spools of thread. She must be bored. I plan to go and spend some time with family, then it's back to work tomorrow. No black Friday for me.

Anywhoo I haven't been feeling to great lately so this project took a few days to complete:

Sweet Child Of Mine

I will come back and add a description later.
Have a blessed day

Some Fall & Summer Layouts

Hello and happy Sunday how are you guys doing? The sun is shining and it's not too crisp. This weekend went entirely too fast. Well since I am washing uniforms each weekend I am relegated to washing on Saturdays and creating late into the night. I had the luxury of sending Gabby away this weekend but I still had Farrah to deal with. We watched some movies and spent time with granny and ate pretty well might I add. So here are some creations I have to show you guys. Enjoy.

Your Kind of Fun

This was quick to make. I used pictures from a few weeks ago. We have a playground and a school across the way and the kids love to walk up the stairs and down the hill right next to it. Not sure why but they have so much fun doing it. I don't think I will understand alot of things that they enjoy. The base paper is Bazzill Tropical. The circle paper is Basic Grey Paper Cottage and the yellow is Crate Paper Emma's Shop. I used BG Hopscotch rub ons, the ticket is BG Fact/Fiction. The stickers are Jillibean Soup in Diced Denim. I made the flower a Tonic Flower punch. I misted with Mr. Huey Plumb Thumb.

Catch A Wave

Yes I still have a few summer layouts to complete. I don't have a system, if I'm going through my pictures and I find some that I like, I will use it no matter what the season. I don't feel the need to scrap seasonally or chronologically, I just have fun. I loved this picture so much and I'm amazed that I caught it. The color was not the greatest so I used a filter. I believe it's "1960's", not really sure though. I love the way the camera caught the look on her face and the action of the water beads. I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss in Mermaid, the bee paper is MME Sweetest Thing, I used BG Soleil and a wave punch at the top of the page. The flower was made using a Tonic flower punch. The chipboard is BG Soleil. I made the butterflies with Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch.

Let Me Show You

The kids love to look @ pictures just after they've been taken. I bought Farrah a small digital camera in March this year, she loves to use it. Gabby wants to take pictures now too. I have found several in my camera phone of various things....  I used a tag stamp and some scraps to make this. The base ppr is BG Soleil, I used EK Striped Butterfly punch and some paint to finish it up.

True Nature Lovers

I love creating banners and I went a lil nuts with this one. I misted over Studio Calico Hexagon template with Boss Lady and Mint Julep. I made the banner with a mix of Crate Paper and Basic Grey. I used Fiskar's Thats Amore Heart punch in large and small. I used EK Tag punch, Fiskar's Upper Crest and scalloped border punch.

Sometimes I Get A Good Feelin'

Hello and good evening. Tomorrow is Friday and yes I am so happy because the weekend draws near. Currently I am watching Stanley Kuberick's The Shining, which I believe is a good psychological thriller. But enough about the movie I want to share some things with you:

Sometime's I Get A Good Feeling

This song was on the radio the other day and it's stuck in my head so last night I started creating this layout based on the song...I decided to use a compilation of pictures taken during the summer. I really didn't plan on using these 3 on 1 layout but I thought it would fit the title: these kids had good feelings in all the pictures. They were happy, energized and enjoying life!

I got the inspiration from September 2012 Scrapbook Trends. I loved Mandy Koeppen's "Game Time GPA" on pg 90 if you want to see it. I loved the rows of circles but I decided to use a scalloped circle punch (Marvy) instead. I used various scraps of Crate Paper, American Crafts, Basic Grey and Glitz Designs. I made the tag with a large tag stamp and some hot pink ink. The stickers are a mix of Thicker, Authentique and October Afternoon.

You know that feeling you get when you go into a store like Target or WM and you find something totally unexpected? Well I found these gems today in Target:

Strawberry and Cucumber Thickers, nice!

I love little notebooks, I like to keep track of the products I use on my projects. The pad is Peppermint by Crate Paper. I don't normally buy Christmas themed products but there were a couple of pages I could use for die-cuts.

Must Be Love...

Farrah loves to let Gabby climb up on her back! She doesn't mind it but I do because I'm always scared she may fall or drop her but she never does. Anywhoo,  I created this based off Ginny Hughes' Love layout, found on page 118 of September's Scrapbook Trends magazines. I loved all of the hexagons and I made them by tracing The Crafter's Workshop large hexagons over the patterned page and cut them out. I do have a set of hexagon Spellbinders dies but I haven't used them yet. Once I got them down I misted with Mr. Huey's in Boss Lady and laid all my other elements on the paper.

Happiness Doesn't Cost A Thing

Hello out there in blog land the weekend is coming to a close and I'll be back to work tomorrow. This weekend I got a few layouts done, shopped a lil bit and cooked dinner today : Baked chicken with chicken penne seasoning, 6 cheese spaghetti sauce with penne noodles and garlic bread. For desert dark fudge chocolate brownies. Good right? Well how come I' still talking to you and I haven't eaten yet? Truth is I fell asleep watching Misery and now I'm watching The Dark Knight.

This weekend I took the kids out to play and snap some pictures. It took a while for Gabby because she wanted to play and refused to take them @ first. But then she lightened up. Here's one of them both:

Happiness:

No you can't buy happiness and it doesn't cost you a thing. Kids can find joy in almost anything, even things we adults find "blah". To tell the truth, no matter how many toys I buy them, they can be happy with a pack of crayons and a coloring book or even a plain notebook. They can be happy with running around in a circle out in the park. Yes my children, as well as many other children are pretty easy to please. I got the inspiration from Kelly Foster's Happiness Is Free layout. I loved the title and wanted to lift it (title). The base ppr is BG Serendipity, the hearts paper is Amy Tan and the ppr behind the mat is BG Lemonade. The big flower is Recollections, I've had for several months, never opened. The letter stickers are Glitz Designs and the flag is Basic Grey Fact/Fiction.

Focus Please and Smile

Yay, I made it to Friday, as I write this my eyes are getting heavy but it's not quite time to head to sleep. I plan on playing with some goodies tonight. I didn't get the chance to post these 2 last night.

Focus Please!

To me these would be perfect if both kids were actually paying attention at the same time. But at least this shows their character. Gabby's got that smile while Farrah is looking down and serene. The next picture Gabby is attempting to get away and Farrah is looking @ me. I guess I win some and lose some....

I find my scrapping volume is increasing due to the fact that I am scrapping more everyday moments or those others feel aren't significant. I know I don't have to scrap everything but it helps me use all these products and I'm creating memories. I used Maya Road Butterfly mask, Tattered Angels Polka Dot Pink and Teal High Heel and some Shimmerz in Plum Pudding. Then I started layering on my items. I used a mix of Basic Grey, Crate Paper, MME Miss Caroline and Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic. The butterfly is from Martha Stewart called Monarch Butterfly and the stickers are Dear Lizzy.

Start Each Day With A Smile

Doesn't Gabby look so cute? With this I decided to play up to the embellishments already on the page. I threw one some paint for a pop of color. I used Craft Essentials in Pink Blast and Americana in Primary Yellow. The base ppr is MME Miss Caroline, the brads are Basic Grey Olivia. I used the butterfly negative from a Monarch Butterfly punch.

Super Duper Fantastic

Hello and good evening. I wanted to share with you a layout I created tonight. First off I got the inspiration from Patricia Roebuck's Catching A Butterfly layout found in October's Scrapbook Trends on page 36. I loved the layout, how she arranged her snapshots and the little elements on the page:

Super Duper Fantastic

The base ppr is MME The Sweetest Thing called Wonderful. I used a mix of BG Paper Cottage, SEI Vanilla Fields, Bazzill Dotted Swiss and BG Plumeria. I used Fiskar's Apron Lace, EK Success Circle Border punch and the new EK Flourish Frame punch. It's alot smaller than I expected it but it's pretty cute. I used Tattered Angels Patina and Rosey on the background.

One Of A Kind

I decided to play off the words on the paper and use it as my title. It feels weird to not create my own title, it looks naked to me. This one is made primarily of scraps except the background paper which was cut down from 12/12. I love banners and pennants. I have a mix of MME Sweetest Thing, SEI Vanilla Fields, Bazzill Dotted Swiss, Amy Tan Sketchbook, BG Soleil and Crate Paper On Trend & Emma's Shop. I used EK Success punches to make the butterfly and merchandise tag, The circles were made with Marvy Uchida flower and scalloped circle punches.

Goofy All Day...

Happy Tuesday how are you this evening. Stopping in to drop off a layout I made tonight goofiness radiates with these too. Always planning and acting silly:

Loved this photo of my kids together having some fun and making silly faces. The paper is Basic Grey Fact and Fiction Line. I wanted to do something quick tonight and the paper was pretty much embellished and designed I just added some layers to it. I made the banner using 2 different punches. 1 1/2 and 1 1/4 scalloped circle punches by paper shapers and Jenni Bowlin banner/pennant punch. I also used Fiskar's Pretty Scallops in 3.5 and 3 inches. I used Acorn Ave and the Honey Comb Cuttlebug folder to make the 3 inch petal right behind the photo. The letter stickers, arrow and the butterfly are also from Fact/Fiction line.

Just Dandy

Just wanted to drop a quick post for a new layout that I completed today. DST has me all mixed up. According to my body it's supposed to be 12:12, not 11:12 pm. This layout was completed in no time :

Just Dandy

I got the inspiration for Crate Paper Designer gallery. The layout is by Tammy Gookstetter called Sayonara Silverwood. I completed this for November 2 pic layout challenge over @ Scrapbook.com. I used a mix of Echo Park, Studio Calico and Crate Paper patterned paper. I misted with Ditto ink spray. The butterfly is Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly. The chipboard, postage sticker, round chipboard sticker and dots are new Basic Grey Fact and Fiction line. You can find it @ Joann's. The foam letter stickers are Rainboots by Thickers.

Love Shines Through

Hello and happy Sunday. I worked on this layout yesterday, very quick to assemble however I watched a couple movies while doing it so it actually took a few hrs LOL.

Saturday Sunshine...

Hey everybody and happy Saturday. It's a cool 40 something degrees here in Milwaukee, crisp but the sun is shining. Today I took the children to the dentist...Gabby hated it, as expected but Farrah loved it. I will never understand how anyone can love the dentist so much and be sooo excited.

So I have this unofficial goal to complete 1 layout a day for November. So far I have completed 2. I hope to get one done today, who knows. But this one is from last night:

These pictures were taken in March Farrah loves to take pictures, I got her a Kodak digital camera back in March. She had it for a few weeks then suddenly it went missing. She said she took it to school and got lost. I was very angry. Well a few weeks ago I found it. I was in the wrong because I hid it somewhere and found it while cleaning.

The base ppr is SEI (Marigold Dreams). I made the banner using my Cuttlebug and American Crafts Soho Garden. Right under it I used another sheet from Soho Garden and punched the bottom with Fiskar's Scalloped Sentiment boarder punch. I used an edge distresser on the edges of the ppr behind the larger photo. I used an EK Success Swiss Cheese punch to make the confetti. I splattered Party Streamer paint by Martha Stewart and Bahama Blue mist by Tattered Angels. The letters are Bittersweet chipboard by Basic Grey.

Goodies To Share

So I decided to go to Joann's today to see if there was anything new and to my great surprise they had so much new in the scrapbook area, I was so happy I could scream and shout. Well I didn't shout out loud but I did excitedly so inside my head. Here's what I found I'm sooooo done with shopping for a while:

Theses are regularly $3.99 but they were on sale @ Joann's. It's Basic Grey Fact and Fiction line. I love it, must be exclusive to J's because I can't find online or any other store. My weakness is stickers and paper pads. I couldn't help myself. Plus I saved an extra 25% off everything

I had to get the stickers and the die cuts

I loved both of the 6/6 They have the 12/12 for $8.99, I may get them...

The chipboard, I'm sure I can find great uses for them!

I loooove punches and this was $29.99 (how dare they) but I had half off so I got it. Believe me I perused the aisle many times trying to decide if it was worth the price!

Update More recon work:

The Fiction pad was $8.99 & the Shine on pad was $7.49 both 12/12

The Stickers were $2.39 and the Fact 12/12 pad $8.99

The flags were $1.99, the flowers on the left were $2.39 and the ones on the right $1.99

4 XXXXL $24.99 but snagged for half off
