Friday Night Delight

I am sooo glad it's Friday you can't even begin to believe! It's been a rough week @ work and I can't believe I made it all 5 days. All I really want to do is get to bed but I had to finish this layout before the month was out. I didn't want to leave September with only 2 layouts completed. Not that I am on a schedule but I felt compelled to show you guys this funny layout about my 2 girls playing with eachother but my 4 year old seems to be playing a little too much:

I started this out by using 12/12 hexagon template by The Crafter's Workshop. I misted with several different colors of pinks, blues, plumbs, aquas and yellows. I'm very pleased with it but you can't really tell because of the white background. I did some stitching on random spots on the hexagons. I used different punches for borders (flowers and hearts). Well I must go now so have a blessed weekend.

As you can see I did some misting here. I made the banners by using a scalloped circle punch, folding them in half and stringing to some bakers twine. It's made up mostly of scraps from the layout about. Surprisingly it didn't take long to complete.

The 3rd Grader

Well school is in full swing and both kids are adjusting well. I did not take a ton of pictures this year for the start of school. I only took 3 of Farrah and 3 of Gabby, who acted like a royal donkey the first day. Her page is coming in a different post. She told me she'd rather go back to 2nd grade. Too bad because it's not going to happen. She's going to be doing alot more work from here on out.

Here's my page of Farrah:

For my ppr mat, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the letter folder. Then I painted it and let it dry. As you can see I used alot of paint here. I wanted the colors and the elements to have a school like feel. I don't normally use red, so I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. I used the mini hexagon's template from Crafter's Workshop and used black and white paint dabber by Adirondack. The letter stickers are cool right? Got them @ Joann's last week, they are chipboard Thickers. I wasn't too sure about using this color but the other pack was pink and I'm not ready to use them yet. Thanks for looking.

Back On Track

Hello lovely ppl. I am back with a layout to share of Gabby in July. I wanted to capture some shots of her in her cute Hello Kitty jumpsuit but she just would not cooperate with me. She kept crying while I snapped away. I figured that I could still use them to tell the story. I think she was just tired and hungry. She gets whiny and cranky when she's tired or hungry.

Materials Used:
Crate Paper: Pretty Party Confetti
Martha Stewart paint in Camelia Pink
Adirondack paint dabber in Pool
Crafters Workshop Circle Grid template
Teresa Collins Tell Your Story in Damask
Perfect Pearls in Flamingo & Daffodil
Making Memories Instant Setter
WRMK wide aqua eyelets
Thickers Doll white glitter stickers
BG Konnichiwa chipboard stickers
MLS Lemon Pie sticker

I used a butterfly template and acrylic paint for the butterflies, I randomly used Perfect Pearls with a foam brush as if it were paint in random places. I used some fabric strips I got from Joann's behind my paper mat and added some paint and perfect pearls to the edges.

Hopefully I will edit and print more pictures, I've got a few in mind that I want to work with. Because I've been reading so much I haven't had time to create, plus with the kids in school they've started to bring homework. But scrapping is still my first love, I will just have to do it on the wkee

Mini Shopping Spree

Hello everybody and happy Wednesday. I'm so glad it's almost the weekend. I need to get back to some much needed sleep. Week 2 of back to school is underway. Farrah has homework already. Gabby doesn't have any yet. She has been adjusting well but I know she'd rather be in daycare. Too bad young'n because you are smart enough and old enough for school. So I took them to school today and Gabby had such a breakdown, she cried and cried. Her teacher said she hasn't cried all week. We chopped it down to my presence there. That I can believe, my children tend to act up when I am picking them up.

So on to my shopping spree. Armed with some 50% and 40% off coupons I made my way to Michael's. I found nothing I wanted to buy. I few days ago I purchased these items:

Isn't the stamp cool? It's Recollections. I love it and glad
I was able to use a coupon with it. The paper pad is American
Crafts. The Sizzix dies were on sale too. I don't know how
I will use them but they are a cool addition to my staple

Love the colors of the ppr flowers and the fabric ones

I picked up these awesome new embossing folders for my Cuttlebug @ Joann's. It was love @ first sight! I'm loving the honey comb and lattice patterns and even the packaging is cool.

The 4 pk was $17.99, honey comb $7.99 & Lattice $5.99
of course I got the 4 pk 50% off and honey comb 40% off

I was able to snag these with 50% & 40% off @ Joann's

Now the real challenge is to actually use these products. Help me LOL!!! Oh I forgot, Joann's has some new anywhere window punches, I saw "Lattice" and "Honey Comb" but you have to buy the punch starter set in order to use the whole system. I didn't get them this week. I may get them next week if I find a use for them. They are cute but I don't like the fact that you can't use the negative portion of the punched shape. Well, that's all for now. Have a good one.

I'm back did you miss me?

Well I've been a little preoccupied, I haven't created anything in a few weeks. But that didn't stop my purchasing...I've actually been reading several books back to back. I know I could not put them down. So I will be back to scrapping soon. Just wanted to say hello and update you on some things. The kids started school this week. Gabby, my 4 year old hated it, she cried, she wanted to go back to daycare. Now understand she's been in daycare since she was 12 wks old so this is a big challenge and change for her. She ended up getting it together later though. Farrah is a pro, she didn't have an issue, she's happy to be in 3rd grade. Here are a few pictures, don't they look cute in their uniforms? I'm glad but @ the same time they get soooooo dirty. Why can't they have darker tops??? Have a good evening.
