Happy Monday

Hello all, I have a very short work week then I will be on vacation starting Wednesday @ 2:3 pm. I'm not going anywhere, just at home resting and spending time with family. I don't normally leave the state, I don't travel much so my vacation time is meant for resting. It was a very slow weekend, only completed 2 layouts but thats ok.

The Best Days: Created for December Hoarders Challenge over at www.scrapbook.com. I admit that I am a hoarder and I love to collect supplies. I have some items from about 10 or so years ago that I have not touched. This layout came together quickly but I felt it was too naked so I added the doodles and more items. I've had all the paper for about a year, the flower is Recollections maybe 2 or 3 years old, the glitter chipboard photo corner is Making Memories Noteworthy has to be 3 or 4 years old. The yellow Thickers are Niki Riki atleast a year old. I did use a stencil and texture paint and I must say I love the touch it adds to the project. I tool these pictures in November when we had a few more nice days. They had so much fun.

Created out of scraps of random paper. I still love to sniff her hair and skin and she's 6 is there something wrong with me???? LOL, she is my baby and I love her to pieces. 



Happy Tuesday

Hello everyone how are you doing? I am doing swell just counting down the days until my vacation begins. I will probably spend the bulk at home sleeping and some crafting. The kids will be out of school also so maybe we can do something fun like a movie or something. This is my attempt to post more pictures, blogger was acting funky yesterday.

 Another Challenge for December (Scraplift your favorites)

base paper is Coordinations Bright White, Dear Lizzy ribbon at the top. MME Necessities Metallics, Studio Calico wood veneer butterfuly. Maya Road canvas butterflies. I did alot of punching from Martha Stewart, Ek Success and Fiskars from scraps. I used Color Shine Tropicana Teal and Gold Lame. Enamel dots are from Teresa Collins.

As you can see mine doesn't look exactly like her's but thats the beauty in scraplifting you can take something and make it your own and thats what I did here. I loved all the butterflies, I collect butterfly stamps, punches and I would love to have some more dies for my Spellbinders. I think I have every butterfly cart for my Slice and a few for my Cricuit

Happy Monday Everyone

So how was your weekend? I got 7 layouts done not sure if I am going to post them all because blogging is time consuming especially when I'm doing it during slow times @ work :) How is your Christmas planning going if you celebrate it? The kids should be happy this Christmas, I didn't spend much though but they should be happy. They still love dolls, puzzles and finger nail polish so it's easy plus they are young girls so no qualms there!

Oh Hello Beautiful Today:

The background paper is not a scrap but Coordinations in Bright White. I love white texture cardstock! everything else is scraps made with Heidi Swapp Hello Today, Maggie Holmes Crate Paper and Maggie Holmes Styleboard. Buttons are Basic Grey, punched shapes are Martha Stewart butterfly. The joural spot is Maggie Holmes. Making Memories Edge Scraper, Studio Calico Powder Blue mist, Stephanie Barnard Spray in Guava, Doodlebug Hopscotch stickers. I did doodle a bit because it looked kinda naked and I wanted to add my own touches to it. I really love it, plus my cutie. Oh she's 10 and getting bigger. I wrote about how beautiful she is getting every day.

 

 

Hope In Fron Of Me:

I created this whole page out of scraps from leftover projects, even the background. Growing very fond of Heidi Swapp Hello Today and Serendipity Line. Cork Butterflies, Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm, Colorshine in Navy, Fiskars Pretty Scallops punch and EK Success butterfly punch used.

 

December Music Challenge:

FUN: challenge was to use an artist or band name in the title or the journal. I had a very hard time trying to come up with a band so I just used the group Fun and went from there. They had so much fun playing in the leaves and throwing them up in the air. Background paper is MME Kate and Company Bright Florals, I used the 22mm brad puncher from Imaginisce at the bottom looks like a flower. Studio Calico wood veneer arrow, Tattered Angels Patina and Thickers Patchwork sticers. The pink stickers and gold heart are Studio One from Joann's.

TGIF Happy Friday Everyone

Hello all I am sooooo happy it is Friday I get to sleep in tomorrow and hopefully the weather agrees so that I can take some pictures of this kids. Here in WI our weather can be up one day and down the next. Today is picture day for my kids so last night was busy getting their hair done and outfits together. I hope it goes well, my 6 year old can be touchy but I love her crazy smiles so its all good. My 10 year old, well I'll be happy if she cleans her face after eating. Children these days right???? Anywhoo I have some layouts to share with you. I joined some challenges over at www.scrapbook.com and have completed 2 so far...

"She Drives Me Crazy" Completed for December Music Title Challenge. I chose Fine Young Cannibals as my title. I love her zainy and silly self. She always knows how to make me laugh with her carefree character. I used Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic, Maggie Holmes Project Life Flea Market card, scraps from Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party, Teresa Collins Enamel Dots, and I just love those Thickers!!!!!

 

The next one was completed for the same challenge but different focus which were Lyrics (I used a few lyrics from the song). I titled this "Just The Way You Are" By Bruno Mars. I used a marjority of Heidi Swapp Hello Today and Serendipity for the paper, Thickers Freedom stickers, Studio Calico wood typewritter and other scraps. Kids these days seem to want to look like someone else, their favorite singer or star. She doesn't need to look like anyone because she is beautiful just as she is.

Happy Monday

Hello friends, I pray your Thanksgiving was awesome. Mine was okay, not the same without my aunt being here; she passed away in July 2014 from complications from stomach cancer surgery. Holidays are not the same without your loved ones. Anyway I did alot of creating over last week, got some much needed sleep, cleaning the living and dinning room area and let the kids put up the tree. Here are a few layouts I did and thanks for looking.

Background paper is Basic Gray Hey Boy ($3 at J's a few weeks ago). Mist is Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Gold. Edges distressed using Making Memories edge scraper and Tim Holtz Walnut Stain around the edges. Title made by Thickers Fancy and random scraps.

 



 

Free Fallin':

I was listening to Tom Petty as I created this. Orginally I hadn't had a title but the it fit well with her playing with the leaves. I love that the pictures are not perfect but I love the warm glow on them and they are perfect for me :) Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party 6x6 and project life cards. Martha Stewart Country Butterfly, Making Memories Edge Scraper, Heidi Swapp Primrose, God and Tropicana Teal. Studio Calico stickers and wood veneer. Maggie Holmes resin flowers.

 

 

 

 

 

 



Oh My My My It's Been Too Long...

It's been well over a month since I've blogged to my online friends, not that I haven't been scrapping, I've just been busy with work, family life and other things. It's very frosty here, about 16 degrees in WI and it's snowy/windy. Where did our fall go???? Well if you live her you know that the weather changes at the drop of a hat with no warning. 2 weeks ago it was about 56 degrees and 3 weeks ago we had 60 degree weather. I'm glad I was able to capture a few pictures of the kids playing in the leaves, here are some...They had soooooooo much fun and I had fun taking the picures.

 

 

Then they decided to roll down the hill...Their destination was a pile of leaves but didn't quite make it in the pile but off to the left of it.

Hello Fall:

To celebrate the start of fall I decided to use these awesome pictures of the kids playing in the leaves. The leaves were very pretty and they had alot of fun diving in the piles. Gabby cried a bit as she can be a tad sensitive but overall it was fun and the weather was nice. The base paper is KaiserCraft Base Coat Collection in Distressed. The paper strips are Crate Paper Close Knit, the bird card is Basic Grey, the smaller stickers are Glitz Teeny Alpha, the Thickers are Boardwalk. The card to the left is We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy. The small tags are from Close Knit ephemera.

 

Lol: Living Doll. First off my children can be really silly. We were watching a show about living dolls and Farrah asks so innocently "I wonder if his head can turn around like a doll????" I said Farrah he's still human not a doll. Then she said "Well it said "a living doll"..... I used a bunch of scraps on this one. Not exactly sure about all of them. The dots are American Craft, The flower paper is Maggie Holmes, the brown strip is Summer Fresh by Simple Stories. The heart card is Project Live Kraft kit, the blue stickers are Doodlebug Hopscotch, yellow is October Afternoon and the pink Thickers are Crate Paper Fourteen collection.

Oh Wow Really? Gabby had this weird dream of a brown headed skeleton, breathing blue fire, the body was cheetah, pink arms, green legs, blue feet on fire...Not sure where she got it from but I'm sure it was a culmination of different scary movies.

I typically post once a week and craft mainly on the weekends but sometimes I may craft during the work week but thats not too often due to being a full time working mom and them having homework daily I can get very few completed during the week but the weeknds are all mine. I've Been Scrappin!

Hello everyone I have several layouts to share, this weekend I did alot of scrapping while watching season 9 and 10 of CSI Miami. Can't get enough of Horation Caine. Anyhow here they are and be warned there are alot of them thanks for looking and happy crafting.

So glad I was able to get some good action shots of Fay on the swing, I've had my dslr for 2 years and I am still learning. Five Things:

I've had this paper for over a year, it's My Minds Eye Spread Your Wings but I had only planned to use the reverse side because I love teal/torquiose dots but I decided to do something different. I found several questions online to ask my child to get to know her better. I know I know I should already know her but sue me lol. She's 10 now and going through changes so she's up and down, she changes with the wind.....

Orange stickers are BG Nook and Pantry, "hello" die cut is Heidi Swapp, number's die cuts are Fancy Pants Trend Setter ephemera pack. Fiskars Apron Lace punch and EK Success Daisy punch used.

 

Just Swingin':

Gabby loves to swing and has alot of fun doing it. She will swing for hours and loves to go super high! I love imperfect pictures and the one on the right is my favorite because it shows action.

More questions for my 10 year old. She's got so much character now. However when taking pictures I always have to say "smile silly or laugh" because her regular smiles seem so fake so I just let her be without being fake. All paper is The Pier "Heatwave" except for the photo mat which is DCWV Brights Matstack. I used Ek Success 2 point flag, Thickers Lullaby and Thickers Rainboots

 

A Day To Remember:

 I missed a whole year of making memories and going to the beach! Last summer I didn't do any scrapping or create any memories due to getting my health in check. The backgroun paper is DCWV Brights, The journal card is WRMK Down the Board Walk. The chipboard arrow is Basic Grey Mint Julep and Soleil brads. I misted with Tattered Angels Patina

Happy Friday With Several Layouts

I've been busy crafting on the weekends so I have several layouts to share with my friends. Some very simple and some are more creative.

Explore:
Simple, paper is Crate Paper The Pier and punch is Fiskars. Letters are Thickers. Fabric tag and flower is SEI. Years old. The butterfly stamp is Martha Stewart Country Butterfly. Cardstock is Die Cuts With A View Brights stack

 

Good Time:

Very simple and I love it. Used some Project Life Kraft and bits of scraps. The flowers are Basic Grey from Joann's

 

Up 'N Away:

I'm glad I as able to get some good action shots of the kids, sometimes this is very hard especially when I don't really know all the functions on may digital slr. Paper is My Minds Eye Up and Away. Thickers, fabric tag SEI, scraps are My Minds Eye and Maggie Holmes

 

Totally Tied:

Gabby can tie her shoes but they don't stay tied all the time. Not sure if I like this design, that happens sometimes and I battled with the orintation for a while. Used alot of Crate Paper Maggie Holmes and Heidi Swapp

Back In School Cool and A photoshoot

The kids have returned to school. Yes!!!! Back to learning, hanging with friends and getting on my nerves with homework and not wanting to get up early in the morning. Gabby cried a bit the first day, she didnt want to leave me....Well she's 6 and in first grade so it's time she gets it together. My 10 year old started 5th grade. I pray she keeps her mouth shut this year. Please pray with me lol....She's a talker and is bossy. I do not like that.....
