The Last Hurrah

Just dropping in to post the last layouts of 2012. Have a blessed and safe New Year.

I Love It!

The base ppr is BG Hopscotch called Monkey Bars. I layered DCWV Spring Stack over it. I used paint in Rosy Posy and 6/6 Circle Grid template. I used scraps of Crate Paper On Trend & Lil Bo Peep, and Just The Edge in Slipper. I made the title with white paint and TCW Mini Life Strips and added some sequins.

Happy Christmas
The night before Christmas, the girls were anticipating opening gifts the next morning.
The base ppr is CP Lil Bo Peep, I used Fiskars Effervescence punch on the top of the pink paper. I used Crate Paper Peppermint 6/6 pad I got from Target. I used the "high def" filter in Picasa to edit the picture.

December 30 2012

So I'm sitting here with Gabby who has a bit of a cold, we are watching The Twilight Zone, the episode where an older guy living in a boarding home hates t.v. so much he goes and digs up an old radio that only plays old shows and games from 12 or so years ago that have long since ended. He keeps living in the past and longed for those early days,  I love this old show!

Well I have been slacking so I have been power scrapping over the last 2 nights, since Christmas was last week and we spent time with 2 families I was not able to get much done but glad I was on vacation. I go back to work on Wednesday. Yes December 31st and January 1st are federal holidays so this year we get both days off and boy didn't I need this time off.

So without further delay I present to you a few layouts, enjoy!

JOY

Farrah was super excited to get these gifts, priceless is the look on her face. She got a mp3 player and a fashion design booklet. She loves to draw and listen to music.
The base ppr is Coordinations Aegeon Circle. used scraps of MME Bluebell, Echo Park Happy Days and Amy Tan Sketchbook. The hearts were made from Martha Stewart Heart Confetti punch. The Joy stamp is Autumn Leaves Everyday Sentiments. The letter stickers are Dear Lizzy and the circle was handcut. I sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

KEEP TRYING

DORA

I lifted from Sunday Sketch a few weeks ago. Gabby loves Dora and was surprised when she received this doll from a church that partners each year with her daycare.
The base ppr is Cosmo Cricket Upcycle called Reverse. I matted the photo with Authentique Free Bird and used scraps out of various papers.

HELLO WINTER

I lifted this from the Studio Calico blog sketch a few weeks ago. The plum paper is DCWV Summer Stack. The blue paper is American Craft's Love Notes. The pink chevron paper is Crate Paper Lil Bo Peep. The stickers are Basic Grey Mini Mono. I made the star from Recollections and Basic Grey Sweet Threads.
2 weeks ago we had our first snow storm (it hadn't snowed since March this year), the kids loved playing, running and throwing snowballs @ each other  The snow kept falling on my lens but I used the pictures anyway. I used the "cross process" feature in Picasa. I think that's my favorite filter. Thanks for looking.

Bonus pictures:

I took this today, she looked cute in her new coat (but I wouldn't have gotten it so big) and her pink boots. Yes I waited until the last minute to buy winter boots as we have had no snow until about 2 weeks ago. I used Picasa to add the "cross process" filter and overlayed it with "cinemascope" filter. Loved it. Filters are so cool...

I took this yesterday

They loved kicking the snow

Another Christmas

Hello everyone how did your  Christmas go? Ours was fine, no hiccups but the normal stress of the holiday. The kids were very pleased to get their gifts. It's such a blessing but its not all about the gifts as you know. We celebrate the birth of Jesus, spend time with family and eat really good :). Well I made it home today around 6 pm. We don't normally spend all night with the family. I get to finally rest since I'm on vaycay So I won't be doing alot of running this week. Here are some pictures from today :

She was excited to get this fashion booklet, it has stickers and other ideas on designing outfits. She loves to draw.

Gabby loves anything Dora. This is Potty Time Dora, it doesn't actually go potty though.

Took this last night

Taking a bit of a break...

Yep I need a break. I have to clean and organize my stash (while watching Matlock!) Too many boxes around here LOL. Take a look @ the process so far...

Keep in mind, I do have a sketch table however it had been taken over by paper and other items, I finally cleaned it off today, my living room had been such a mess! I didn't take a before picture as I just thought of the idea a few minutes ago to post about it:

Yay I got my table back. You can imagine how it looked before. I will try my best to keep it neat. I was working on layout last night along with a frame I will decorate and give to my mother for Christmas. My niece Lyric had picked some flowers to give to my mother and said she was going to give them to her when they visited in Christmas. She thought they would take away her cancer. Bless her heart.

This is where I did my scrapping on half of the table. Not the best place....

New paper, my CE2 and some wrapped Christmas gifts....

Friday, December 21, 2012

This week was very, very long. I could not wait until today. I am on vacation and I return to work on 1/2/13.  Woo hoo! I am going to get some rest and spend some time with the family. Sadly my sis and niece wont make it up here :(. I really wanted to see them. Since I had half a day today I decided to go to Walmart. Last year I started the tradition of getting them cute pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. I was able to get some Dora pajamas for Gabby since she loves Dora and some butterfly pajamas for Farrah.

So I've worked on the following layouts over the last couple days. Enjoy!

They Eat Snow

These kids couldnt wait to get outside and play in the snow. They were so excited and decided to eat it too. Gross.

The background ppr is American Crafts Classics called Ender. I used Studio Calico White over 12/12 hexagon template. I cut out some of the hexagons from Happy Day and layered Poodleskirt Pink paint by Americana over 6/6 Mini Swiss Dot template. Both templates by The Crafter's Workshop. I sprayed very TA Strawberry Cheesecake very lightly. I threaded some sequins together for added sparkle. The gray stickers are Snap and the glitter stickers are Thickers in Rainboots. For the pictures, I edited with Picasa and used the " cinematography" filter. Thanks for looking

Snowballs

So yesterday we had our first measurable snow in over 280 days! Wow, I was getting used to the mild, although rainy weather. But here in WI anything is possible. The kids ate and I let them play outside in the snow. They had fun making and throwing snowballs @ eachother. I didn't get many good pictures but I will edit as best as I can. For this picture I used Cross Process and 1960's filter over it. I love how it turned out. I've never done that before. Keep in mind that I do use Picasa, so you can do the same if you have the software, google "Picasa" it is free!

Poor Gab!

I took this on Tuesday when we had part 1 of our snow storm. The kids had so much fun making and throwing snowballs, making snow angels and gliding in the snow but Gabby soon became annoyed and started crying when Farrah threw some @ her...

I used the Cosmic Bubbles template with the following mists : TA Sea Glass, TA Be Mine and Shimmerz Cotton Candy. I used WRMK Aqua Floss, The large colorful circle paper is Amy Tan Ready Set Go, The blue and white dot is MME Lavander Cutie Pie. The pink dotted paper is Bazzill Dotted Swiss and the black and white border is Making Memories, The circle is DCWV Mango Frost. The letter stickers are Thickers Sparkling.

Snow Finally...

We have not had significant snow here in WI in about 280 something days. I may be off a lil but today was such a surprise. We finally have snow! It looks so pretty coming down on the trees and ground but once it gets slippery, slushy, and muddy it's a wrap! I hate it! I hate driving in it. I pray all the way to my destination that God will protect us-me from hitting someone else and from someone else from hitting us.

So after I got the kids from school and grabbed something to eat they wanted to play in the snow. So I had to pull out the real winter wear and let them have fun. The pictures aren't great but I'm sure I will have more chances but since it was the first snow, I will edit them the best I can and make do! I want to document this memory.

I used Picasa to edit. I used the Cross Process filter and then layered the 1960's filter over it. I love how it turned out

I also finished this layout last night.

Pure Cuteness

The background paper is Basic Gray Orange Whip, I used Tattered Angels Aquamarine and Crafters Workshop 12/12 Circle Explosion template-sorry the misting is hard to see. I stitched on the top and the bottom of the layout and added aqua and pink floss. I made the banner behind the picture with 5th & frolic Cozy Court. I used a scrap of Basic Gray Fine China and EK Dandelion Burst and mounted on top of the banner. I anchored the photo with a scrap of paper and added a rub-on on from Basic Gray Hopscotch. The letter stickers are Glitz Designs Tiffany Blue. A the bottom I added a scrap of On Trend and a blue button. Thanks for looking.

Hello Friday

Just wanted to pop in to say hello. I have no layouts to post tonight. Watching a tv special on the shooting in Connecticut. I can't even describe my mood tonight. I'm in shock, I cannot believe someone would open fire on a classroom of 5 year old's. I have no idea what I would have done. But I am not here to bash the gunman. Lets pray for the families that have been touched by this tragedy. As someone who lost a cousin to gun fire, I take things like this to heart. Lets pray for our families and our own relationships with them. Lets pray for love and patience. I pray that eyes will be opened and people accept Christ into their lives and that he transforms all that accept him.

You guys have a blessed weekend and take care.

Happy Thursday

Today was a long day @ work and I am very glad to be home. We went to Michaels, the kids got some goodies, then we went to Target, I found a few journal pads by We R Memory Keepers so I scooped them up along with some household items and now I'm home. I completed these last night. Thanks for looking.

Chatterbox

I Did It!

Update: Happy Day

Not only do I want to remember all the good times, I want us to remember the times when life is not so great, but these trying times can teach is to learn and grow. I used Everyday Eclectic Hexagons and MME Greetings paper. No sure what the yellow dot ppr is. I hand cut the banners but used Banner Year punch by Fiskar's and some craft cardstock. I inked the edges with Vintage Pink (Prima). I used WRMK brad setter,  Sew Easy needle and a ruler to stitch. I misted on the red card stock with Tattered Angels Bahama Blue. The large title spot is by MME.

Happy Wednesday

In my quest to complete 31 layouts this month, I am happy to say that I have completed 11 so far and I have 2 waiting in the wings to be completed. In other news I wanted a chocolate cake so I bought the mix and frosting only to discover the recipe called for 3 eggs, well I only had 2 and said I would wait until I had another pack and make the cake. Well last night I decided, well it couldn't hurt right? I made the cake anyway, it doesn't taste bad but it could be more solid. Next time I will make sure to have the eggs I need. The kids loved the cake by the way. I love the batter, as most ppl do, second is the frosting! Nothing beats good chocolate frosting!

Here are two layouts that I completed last night, enjoy:

Life Is Lovely:
Gabby with her happy self @ the park a few wks ago. She had so much fun, the weather was nice and the sun was shining so bright. She is really growing up, she didn't even cry when it was time to go. I used 12/12 Crafter's Workshop Cosmic Bubles template along with Tattered Angels in Cosmos. Love the color. The base ppr is DCWV Tres Chic. I layered CP On Trend and then added some stitching. I used a butterfly template and white acrylic paint by Craftsmart and layered a BG Hopscotch rub on top of it. The "fantastic" sticker is EP Today's Studio and "life is lovely" sticker is CP On Trend. Thanks for looking.

Extreme Bliss:
I remember as a child how much fun it was to pile up some leaves and jump in them and how til this day I still love the sound and feel of chrunchy leaves under my feet as an adult. Those leaves were so pretty, she piled em up and threw them in the air.

I loved the paper and I felt it would not do justice to cut it down to 8.5/11 so I left it whole. I used scraps of Studio Calico, MME and BG Whats Up. I used a rub on from BG Hopscotch over the scalloped circle, the pink flower is Recollections and the buttons are Buttons Galore, love that store. The pink letter stickers are Authentique Petite Type. The "bliss" stickers are Echo Park Today's Story. Thanks for looking.

Future Star

Fay received this guitar for a Christmas gift last year. She loves to sing, dance, write and draw. Maybe, just maybe she will be a star later and sing folk music, she is a little eccentric LOL. I don't want her to become the next Beyonce or a pop artist. I would love for her to sing music of substance, something wholesome, maybe even a gospel singer.

The only instrument I learned to play was the recorder; lame right? My younger sis played the violin and my older sis played the guitar.

The base ppr is dotted swiss Pirouette by Bazzill. I used CP On Trend and BG Soleil. I decided to play with some sequins. I wanted a confetti look but I didn't like the way that it looked so I put them in a curved line. My attempt to dab over the Punchinella template did not work the way I wanted, I wanted to cover it up but I just decided to cover a portion. The chipboard letters are Making Memories Jigsaw Alpha called Philadelphia. The green stickers are CP On Trend and the flowers are Soleil die cut canvas flowers. I made the label with EK Real Estate punch. I also made the border with Fiskar's Postage Border Stamp. I do thank you all for looking and have a blessed evening.

Hello Sunday Morning...

Good morning everyone I hope your Sunday is going well. Ours is fine. It is raining with a mixture of snow. We have not had snow since March of this year. Not that I am sad or upset though. It looks pretty when its coming down and it's fresh but it's a different story when you have to drive in it. My tree is still in the box, I bought some ornaments from Target last night in my favorite colors : hot pink, purple, green and turquoise. My tree is white by the way, last year I wanted something different and easy to assemble and disassemble. I remember before that we had this HUGE green tree and you had to put the color coded stems in the proper place. That took FOREVER to assemble and take down. The tree would be up for weeks and weeks after Christmas. Well we don't have that problem anymore because this tree comes pre lit and assembled!

I've been pretty busy this weekend with creating and watching movies. Remember my goal of 31 layouts, well I have completed 8 so far and these 2 are my latest:

Distraction??

Gabby has a habit of ignoring me on purpose when she doesn't want to take pictures so I guess this is what she was going for that day. But she did let me take these 3 but they were not what I was looking for. However I printed them anyway because it does tell a story and I think they are kind of cute :). This process took a few days. The base ppr is Bazzill Avalanche. I used the  "Layered Beads" template (Crafter's Workshop) and used Tattered Angels Strong Pink and True Turquoise along with Shimmerz Chickadee  Stickles in Glam Pink and Liquid Pearls in Daffodil to mist. I matted the photos in BG Out Of Print and American Craft's Soho Garden. The scalloped circles were left over from a previous project. The border is Bazzill Just The Edge III in Pajama. The letter stickers are My Lil Shoebox and the question mark is Thickers Rainboots.

Sweet, Darling, Spunky

I didn't plan on this being the end product. I wanted a large block going down the middle but it morphed into something different. There's nothing significant about this picture, I remember printing it with a purpose but it sat for so long that I forgot so I just used the words from the backside of the paper for my title and journaling prompt. The base ppr is MME Lavender Hello Greetings, the paper in the middle is Basic Grey Rhubarb, the dots paper is Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic, the ribbon is American Crafts Caramel. The red paper is Bazzill Berrylicious. The border is Doodlebug Frills in Bubblegum.

Procrastinate Much???

I have to admit, I have not purchased a Christmas gift nor have I put up our tree. I am so lazy, I just need to rest then I will think about putting up that tree. The good thing about the tree is that it's pre-lit and I don't have to worry about untangling an endless roll of lights and getting frustrated....

So I have 2 layouts to share with you. I actually worked on 3 layouts together, while 1 was drying I went on to another and then another.

Time To Just Relax...

I used Fiskar's That's Amore punch in 3 sizes, then I used Fiskar's My Funny Valentine punch. I used a mixture of Crate Paper, Basic Grey, Amy Tan and American Crafts scraps to make the hearts. I made the small butterflies with Martha Stewart 3 in 1 butterfly punch. I free stitched the border around the picture.  I lightly misted with Mint Julep by Studio Calico.

Laugh, Dream, Live

I did alot of layering here. I used a mixture of Echo Park Life Is Good, Basic Grey Paper Cottage, MME Happy Day and Cashmere Dame. For punching I used EK Success 2 inch & 1 inch scallop punch along with Fiskar's Scallop Sentiment punch. And I also tossed some paint on it.

I have another layout waiting in the wings I will probably complete today. You guys have a great weekend.

Simply

This is simply Farrah, having a wonderful time. I've been listening to hours upon hours of Christmas music and well, I love it. Especially @ work because it makes my day more tolerable. I finished this layout on Monday night, just haven't had time to post it. This is layout #3 and I've got #4 done but no title so I will wait to post it. Since I plan to complete 31 this month, I'm actually 2 behind but it's been a crazy week so I will give myself a break.

Simply Having A Wonderful Time: Farrah @ the park

I had alot of fun making this layout. I did alot of layering here and I used the harlequin template along with some acrylic paint to do my masking. I used a mix of MME Lavender & Happy Day, Crate Paper Story Teller, EK Fancy Flight butterfly punch, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letter stickers, and Martha Stewart paint in Bubblegum. I distressed the edge of the paper too.

My Scrappy Goals

Last month I set a goal to complete at least 1 layout a day. Well I met my goal, although some days I did more than one but last month I did 30 layouts so YAY FOR ME!!! I plan on doing the same this month, but I am behind a day so bear with me. I am confident that I will press through; I need to use all these products! My weekend went pretty fast. Can't believe I woke up this morning thinking today was Monday but soon realized it was Sunday and I could sleep in. I tried but Gabby woke up early telling me "it's morning Mommy" so I had to get up. I took her to the park and snapped some pictures. The weather was so nice today, about 58 and sunny. It does not seem like December @ all.
Doesn't she look happy?

Balloon Dance

This balloon was given to us by an employee @ the cell phone place I get service from. Gabby love's balloons and held on for dear life to this one. She danced, pranced and twirled with it firmly tied around her wrist. She looked so free and happy.
The background ppr is "Hot Air Balloon" from the Everyday Eclectic collection. I really didn't have a purpose for buying it but I love that it coordinates with the theme of the layout. I painted using white acrylic paint. Then I added Martha Stewart Pink Dahlia and the Swiss Mini Dots template. Then I used Mini Hexagons template with Yellow Canary paint. I added the stitching. I'm not good with the Sew Easy tool yet so I take a ruler and a paper piercer and punch. Then I thread with floss. The yellowish letters are "Eric" by Thickers. Got them @ TJ Maxx a few months ago for $1.99. The journal spot is Basic Gray Kioshi. Got them from Tuesday Morning a few months back for $1.99. A the top I used dotted adhesive and some American Crafts Twine. I then added scraps of hearts and butterflies punched shapes.

Close

Ahhh, Monday, the day has come and gone and it'll be time for me to lay it down in a minute. Work was long, I was irratated, I rushed home as soon as I could. As I attempted to help Farrah with her homework, Gabby kept being a total brat begging for help with her homework and some attention. Then she started to act out and interrupt us...It's rare for her to act like a monster. I don't know whats up with her...

So to keep the sliver of sanity I have left, I created this page, gave Gabby some crayons and assisted her with her homework and tried to keep calm.

Close

Farrah loves to take self portraits...I can't ever take them of myself this well, especially in 1 shot! How does she do it???

The base paper is Basic Gray Shine On from Joann's. It was already distressed so I didn't do much to it. I used pieces from American Crafts Soho Garden and made the butterflies with Paper Shapers Medium Butterfly. The "C" is Making Memories Jigsaw chipboard and I made the punched frame using Basic Gray Whats Up and EK Heart Frame punch. Very simple and quick to assemble. Thanks for looking.

Black Friday?

No black Friday for me, I had to work today. In fact, I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet and I don't plan on buying alot either. Nor do I plan to spend times in long lines...I don't get the holiday shopping hysteria, I have a short fuse and low patience. I don't want to turn into the "bridezilla of Christmas" and lose the bit of mind I have left.... Yesterday went pretty smoothly, I ate but I couldn't taste a thing and I was very irritable. I spent the night tossing and turning from one end of my couch to the other. Yes I sleep on the couch, I have a nice comfy bed but I still love my couch. I coughed, I was stuffy and I was hot! Glad the kids were away. On a lighter note, I realized that I like old school Christmas music. I love the oldies station we have here. Even if it weren't Christmas music I still would listen. I'm 33 and I love old music...I mean older than myself. I'm talking my mother's age and she's in her early 60's. I don't know where it came from...Okay so now that my rant is over, lets get to the business...

I was able to complete this layout fairly quickly tonight. It just looks so plain to me, it feels like it is missing something. No misting or alot of layering or embellishments.

A few months ago my job hosted "take your kids to work day" and Farrah was so happy to go. They ate pizza and played games. The base ppr is called "Timeless" by Recollections (Michaels brand). I used scraps of Pretty Party (Crate Paper) to make the photo mat, the pieces left over from banners were made from BG Soleil. The journal spot is MME Honey and the die cut flowers are BG Soleil.

Seriously Gabby?

First off, I have no idea where she gets that smile or the pose from.Well my guess its part of her personality and the children shes around everyday. She knows how to turn it on for the camera... For the large circles, I punched a few sheets from Basic Grey Lucille, distressed the edges and ran them through my Cuttlebug and adhered them. I used scraps of MME Honey, BG Fact/Fiction and SEI Vanilla Sunshine to make the paper strips. I used WRMK Winter Frost stamps and Doodlebug Ink in Pool to stamp the banner, I should have used a foam pad to make it come out even. I misted with Mint Julep (Studio Calico).

Thursday, November 22, 2012

Let me start off by saying Happy Thanksgiving, hope you guys have a blessed one. I'm just thankful we have another day on this earth.  My kids and I are sick and I can't taste a thing right now. I've been coughing all night and Gabby had a high fever. Farrah stayed with my aunt so it was just Gabby and I last night. Right now Gabby is intrigued by my spools of thread. She must be bored. I plan to go and spend some time with family, then it's back to work tomorrow. No black Friday for me.

Anywhoo I haven't been feeling to great lately so this project took a few days to complete:

Sweet Child Of Mine

I will come back and add a description later.
Have a blessed day

Some Fall & Summer Layouts

Hello and happy Sunday how are you guys doing? The sun is shining and it's not too crisp. This weekend went entirely too fast. Well since I am washing uniforms each weekend I am relegated to washing on Saturdays and creating late into the night. I had the luxury of sending Gabby away this weekend but I still had Farrah to deal with. We watched some movies and spent time with granny and ate pretty well might I add. So here are some creations I have to show you guys. Enjoy.

Your Kind of Fun

This was quick to make. I used pictures from a few weeks ago. We have a playground and a school across the way and the kids love to walk up the stairs and down the hill right next to it. Not sure why but they have so much fun doing it. I don't think I will understand alot of things that they enjoy. The base paper is Bazzill Tropical. The circle paper is Basic Grey Paper Cottage and the yellow is Crate Paper Emma's Shop. I used BG Hopscotch rub ons, the ticket is BG Fact/Fiction. The stickers are Jillibean Soup in Diced Denim. I made the flower a Tonic Flower punch. I misted with Mr. Huey Plumb Thumb.

Catch A Wave

Yes I still have a few summer layouts to complete. I don't have a system, if I'm going through my pictures and I find some that I like, I will use it no matter what the season. I don't feel the need to scrap seasonally or chronologically, I just have fun. I loved this picture so much and I'm amazed that I caught it. The color was not the greatest so I used a filter. I believe it's "1960's", not really sure though. I love the way the camera caught the look on her face and the action of the water beads. I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss in Mermaid, the bee paper is MME Sweetest Thing, I used BG Soleil and a wave punch at the top of the page. The flower was made using a Tonic flower punch. The chipboard is BG Soleil. I made the butterflies with Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch.

Let Me Show You

The kids love to look @ pictures just after they've been taken. I bought Farrah a small digital camera in March this year, she loves to use it. Gabby wants to take pictures now too. I have found several in my camera phone of various things....  I used a tag stamp and some scraps to make this. The base ppr is BG Soleil, I used EK Striped Butterfly punch and some paint to finish it up.

True Nature Lovers

I love creating banners and I went a lil nuts with this one. I misted over Studio Calico Hexagon template with Boss Lady and Mint Julep. I made the banner with a mix of Crate Paper and Basic Grey. I used Fiskar's Thats Amore Heart punch in large and small. I used EK Tag punch, Fiskar's Upper Crest and scalloped border punch.

Sometimes I Get A Good Feelin'

Hello and good evening. Tomorrow is Friday and yes I am so happy because the weekend draws near. Currently I am watching Stanley Kuberick's The Shining, which I believe is a good psychological thriller. But enough about the movie I want to share some things with you:

Sometime's I Get A Good Feeling

This song was on the radio the other day and it's stuck in my head so last night I started creating this layout based on the song...I decided to use a compilation of pictures taken during the summer. I really didn't plan on using these 3 on 1 layout but I thought it would fit the title: these kids had good feelings in all the pictures. They were happy, energized and enjoying life!

I got the inspiration from September 2012 Scrapbook Trends. I loved Mandy Koeppen's "Game Time GPA" on pg 90 if you want to see it. I loved the rows of circles but I decided to use a scalloped circle punch (Marvy) instead. I used various scraps of Crate Paper, American Crafts, Basic Grey and Glitz Designs. I made the tag with a large tag stamp and some hot pink ink. The stickers are a mix of Thicker, Authentique and October Afternoon.

You know that feeling you get when you go into a store like Target or WM and you find something totally unexpected? Well I found these gems today in Target:

Strawberry and Cucumber Thickers, nice!

I love little notebooks, I like to keep track of the products I use on my projects. The pad is Peppermint by Crate Paper. I don't normally buy Christmas themed products but there were a couple of pages I could use for die-cuts.

Must Be Love...

Farrah loves to let Gabby climb up on her back! She doesn't mind it but I do because I'm always scared she may fall or drop her but she never does. Anywhoo,  I created this based off Ginny Hughes' Love layout, found on page 118 of September's Scrapbook Trends magazines. I loved all of the hexagons and I made them by tracing The Crafter's Workshop large hexagons over the patterned page and cut them out. I do have a set of hexagon Spellbinders dies but I haven't used them yet. Once I got them down I misted with Mr. Huey's in Boss Lady and laid all my other elements on the paper.
