Sunday Night Delight

Is there something that you love that you cannot let go of? Maybe a keepsake from a deceased relative, a pair of fantastic fitting jeans, old letters, photos. Well my 8 year old has a pair of brown boots I purchased 2 years ago, she will wear them rain, shine, sleet or snow and be comfortable in them. Young women and girls will wear them in and out of season. She tried to wear them 2 weeks ago and I said NO. Its finally warm here and she wants to wear boots. That's not going to fly with me. I asked "Why do you wear those boots?" She replies "Because I love them". What is your favorite item?

I wanted to add some brown to draw attention to the boots. I added some splashes of Teal High spray to the background. Its hard to see but I used a heart template and misted over the whole background. I painted the edges, then added some glitter glue. After that I decided to paint around the page again in pink. Pink is my favorite color. I embossed the ppr mat with Tiny Bubbles folder from Cuttlebug. I wouldn't normally choose that color to mat a photo but I just took a chance and went with it. I like the way it turned out.

  1. it really draws your attention to the pic! I like the small pic of her boots- and they are adorable. i can see why she doesn't want to let them go!

I have a locket my grandma gave me one year for Christmas. She died four years ago, and since then, its rarely been off my neck. Before that, I kept it in my jewelry box for safe keeping, and rarely wore it. My sister is the same- she wears hers constantly, and rarely takes it off. Thats my special keepsake!
